I Loved the Energy I Felt From the Sustainable Development Class at App State Last Night

Its always refreshing to spend time with college students. Thank you to David Walker from Blue Ridge Women in Agriculture for inviting me to present and participate in a discussion around finding farmland at Dr. Christof den Biggelaar’s Sustainable Development and Agricultural Entrepreneurship class last night on January 31, 2019. I really enjoyed hearing Cory Byrk of New Life Farm talk about what it has been like for him being a 1st-generation farmer and what he has done to succeed. It was also great to connect with Charlie Brady of Blue Ridge Conservancy. I hope we were able to instill some hope in these students and also give them some realistic expectations around finding land to farm.
