Over the course of the project, we organized and hosted field days and multi-site farm tours across North Carolina, bringing farmers and landowners together to see conservation practices in action on working operations.

Field days gave producers the opportunity to visit a single farm and hear directly from the host farmer and NRCS planners about how specific practices were selected, implemented, and managed — and what results they've seen over time.

Multi-site tours took participants to several farms in a single day, offering a broader view of how different producers in the same region are approaching conservation across diverse operations and land types.

Events spanned the state from the mountains to the coast, covering a range of production systems including forestry, livestock, row crops, diversified vegetables, and silvopasture. Throughout, the emphasis was on peer-to-peer learning — putting farmers in conversation with other farmers who have navigated the same programs, paperwork, and decisions they're facing.
