Annual Report 2023

NC State Extension Annual Report 2023

In 2023, we helped many farmers and landowners navigate the complex issues involved with land access and farm succession:

221 1,751 6,286
Farm Seekers received resources on land access Conducted 32 farm succession consultations, totaling 1,751 acres Monthly views of website resources

North Carolina is the 3rd fastest growing state and has the 2nd highest average price per acre for farmland in the Southeast. Over half of NC farmers are over the age of 65.

Due to developmental pressure, transitions are vulnerable times, and NC FarmLink seeks to connect farmers and landowners to farm transition resources.
