See Conservation Practices in Action on the Piedmont Farm Tour

The NC Conservation Outreach Project (NC COP) is excited to announce its partnership with the Carolina Farm Stewardship Association (CFSA) for this year's Piedmont Farm Tour on Saturday and Sunday, April 26 & 27, from 2 to 6 pm each day.

Eleven participating farms will showcase USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) conservation practices in action, including high tunnel systems, prescribed grazing, and water management solutions. This event offers a unique opportunity for farmers and agricultural professionals to see firsthand how these practices improve sustainability and profitability.

"This partnership helps demystify conservation practices for producers," says Chas Edens of NC COP. "By visiting these farms, you'll witness how these practices benefit both local, Piedmont farms, and the broader ecological landscape."

This marks NC COP's first outreach event, with more planned throughout North Carolina over the next two years. The project will also launch a mobile app later this year to help producers connect with NRCS resources.
