Thanks to the Farm Pathways grant from the USDA Beginning Farmers and Ranchers Development Program, NC FarmLink is excited to welcome Hannah Bundy as our new Communication Coordinator!

Hannah moved to Western North Carolina six years ago from Athens, Georgia. In her undergraduate career she worked on student farms, research farms, and a commercial vegetable farm while studying Horticultural Sciences and Sustainable Food Production at the University of Georgia. She has been working  with the N.C. Cooperative Extension Service as a County Horticultural Agent with consumer and commercial horticulture responsibilities for the past six years and has cherished the relationships that she has built with the community and farmers in the County that she served. Hannah holds a Master of Agricultural and Extension Education from NC State University and is currently pursuing a Master of Social Work at
Western Carolina University. She is passionate about ensuring farmland preservation and succession for future generations as a method of community resiliency and sustainability. Hannah is so excited to be working with the NC FarmLink team towards those goals while supporting current agricultural producers as well as future producers in the process. In her work she has seen the beauty of rural communities and heritage and hopes to play a role in preserving the resources and fostering the viability of farm operations across North Carolina.
