Stories from the Farm: Century Farms in Chatham County is a series focusing on Century old farms right here in Chatham County.
Chatham County has a remarkable history, and the Century Farms series highlights this by focusing on farms that have been operational for over a century. Despite the challenges of population growth and development, there are still a few family farms in the area that have stood the test of time. Unfortunately, many others have been lost to history, along with the stories of those who worked the land. The goal of this series is to preserve and share the rich history of these farms, the land they occupy, and the families who have dedicated themselves to keep the family farm running.
