The Visit NC Farms mobile phone app supports farms through tourism. Is your farm included?

Currently, this is a free marketing mobile App that you can participate in. Please take time to provide us information about your farm or organization by filling out the survey.

Our deadline for collecting this information is August 31, 2018. There is an anticipated rollout for the App in our five-county KerrTar Region this fall. If you have questions do not hesitate to contact your local N.C. Extension Office in one of the five counties: Franklin, Vance, Warren, Granville or Person. Please return the survey to one of the five Extension Offices either by email or hard copy.

We’re convinced that in today’s marketing climate, an app that can be downloaded onto a smartphone or tablet and be used to show the public where farms and agritourism venues and events are located will be a benefit to the region’s agricultural economy,” says Paul Westfall, former County Extension Director in Granville and Person Counties.“ Also, since we are approaching this on a regional basis with N.C. Cooperative Extension of Granville, Person, Franklin, Vance, and Warren Counties working together with the KerrTar Council of Governments and the NCDA&CS, farms, agribusiness, and agritourism across the regions should benefit by helping potential customers from outside the region to find their locations.”
